HEL brake lines

Featured Replies

Hi All

Looking for some advice or thoughts, new discs and pads are going on the car next week. Is it worth at the same time fitting a set of HEL braided brake hoses and ATE super blue brake fluid, if so what advantages would be gained and would it make a noticeable difference in the feel of the brakes.

Any thoughts or ideas welcome

Unless you're doing track days I doubt changing the fluid will make much difference.

No experience of braided hoses on cars. On bikes they sometimes make the brakes feel a bit stronger but a bit more wooden.

I may be wrong, but I think the OEM ones are already braided in the rubber with kevlar strands or similar.

As noted in #3, all flexible brake lines are steel braided. The advantage of the type mentioned in #1 is that in a motorsport situation, they can/could/some are field serviceable/adjustable. So folk think they are performance adder, bit like coil overs?
