Having managed to update my unit to the modified 4024 F/W I now need to copy the V8 Maps back on the HDD.

Does it give you a message to say that it has completed and roughly how long will it take ?

Oh and bonus I found that my unit has a 40GB drive, so I now have 30GB free for music.

Hi

with the disk in, try pressing the eject button. Youu'll get a popup with a notify button on the bottom. Press this and it will tell you when complete. You'll also get a status bar showing how far it's got (but no percentage or ETA to completion). Usually takes about 45 mins.

..i think mine took about 1 hour acnt remeber about message but if you try to take the disk out it will tell you that it is in the processo updating and removal will cancel the update
