When to change VRS gearbox oil

To change the gearbox oil at 80K miles or not, that is the question ?

The family VRS has done 80K miles now and its probably going to be handed over from son to daughter soon. Im going to give it a check over after the MOT and wondered if I should change the gearbox oil as a precaution. Its running fine so maybe its a case of "if it aint broke then dont fix it" but I wonder what others on here think.

I think it's officially sealed for life. I changed it at 120k.

Maybe I'll wait for 100K miles then.

Agree'd. leave it alone unless its causing problems, grinding, whining or other noises coming from the box which could indicate low oil.

I'd think it's not officially sealed as the gearbox must have a breather on it somewhere?
