Floor Mat Worn Through

Featured Replies

My original drivers carpet mat has worn through at 48,000miles and 40 months. Got large feet I admit, but is this typical?

Bought a replacement set of four from Amazon for ~£13, although I really only needed the one.

Those stiletto heels wreak havoc don't they :giggle:

23k miles on my Skoda carpet mats and no sign of any wear at all.

Mine too a while back. But I've just kept them and put some cheap Tesco rubber mats under them. The were really thin and fit fine under the VRS mats.

Should keep the snow :( from meltting and getting through to the carpets.

4 years old and 35,000 miles the drivers side carpet around the heel in front of the accelerator pedal is starting to fray.

They are only thin carpets.

The ones on my old Peugeot were much thicker and higher quality. No wear in 12 years / 150,000 miles.

They are crap - previous owner reckoned one set pasted five months with work shoes.

My old Volvo's set lasted 225,000 miles and sixteen years by comparison.

Think I'll order rubber this time - I like a bit

of rubber.

4.5 years and 82k miles and mine still looks like new.

Mine has done 40 odd thousand miles and the heel area is looking a little worn.

Dependant on which model you have, you CAN buy individual driver's mats instead of having to get a full set.

10K and 18 months and heel mark well and truly there in a dent form........... I put this down to not the quality or thinness of the mats but having real "man" feet

My lease company supplied ones lasted 3 weeks!

I took my drivers side vrs mat out the day I bought the car. Replaced with a genuine Skoda rubber mat.

It's the VRS ones, I have three almost immaculate spares!!

It's not just vrs ones that are available individually.

My VRs has 38K and a worn drivers side mat so I bought a Blackline

I normally do that but with tyres hate buying them so I just buy a new car/bike instead :giggle:

Noticed this with mine too. Only got a new set a year past April!
