Featured Replies

Hello again all as to my prior post I raised my vrs on fk coilovers and had a knock and metallic grind , sooo I put standered drop links on and the roll bar is near as makes no difference sat in the drive shaft on the drivers side so not only do we have grinding by as you turn lock from lock the wheel iOS clinking and it also seems to hope and it clunks any ideas guys ???? Oh I spoke to fk and they have advised the shortened drop links must be fitted so I have done so and the problem is still there

Yeah .... When the wheels are turnt it goes past a random "pop" kind of point

The wheel kindve jerks ( like the motion you see if someone pops a arm or shoulder outbof a socket then back in)

A odd discription but thats best i can describe it

Turn turn turn turn pop clunk turn turn full lock

The fk's are now wound rite up, which is stated as 30mm drop on the front and same on the rear

Could there be a dead bush anywhere guys ?

Before this furbie makes its way to the top of a bonfire :(

my best guess would be topmount bearings, mine creak a lot i still havent got round to changing them :S

mine creak, creak to the point its ****ing me off, changed top mounts and bearing, still doing it

From your last post new top mounts were fitted weren't they?

Sorry to hear the drop links didn't fix it. You can go so low before you don't need shortened drop links. All depends how low you want to go, which is why I thought that after you'd raised it that the drop links were now to short instead of too long.

Does it do it when it's in the air or just when there's weight on it?

From what i remember it was just when on the ground mate :(

It would seem the problem was the muppet who fitted the coilovers left 2 bolts out the ball joint ( moron ) bolt in coilies adjusted sorted ( apart from alignment ) :)
