My DVD has stopped working

My DVD player has stopped working on the Columbus, what could be wrong, and how do I get it working again, have tried a cleaning disc but even that does not work

Insert disc, box appears saying problem with disc, all discs tried are shop bought, even tried some that worked last time I viewed them, but where not shop bought
