My mum is selling her 1998 Fiesta 1.25 Zetec, so I said I would ask on here in case any one is after a cheap reliable daily

The history behind it is, my workmate bought it on Ford options back in 2000 when it was 2 years old and 14000miles

He had it until 2004 and my mum bought it off him.

Few Facts

1998 1.25 Zetec

Mallard Green Metallic, it outstanding condition for its age

Its currently on 96000 miles, backed up by a comprehensive service history

Electric windows

Central Locking

Cd Player

Sunroof (Non leaking!)

Power Steering etc

Non smoking owners from new!

It starts first turn of the key, has one of the slickest gear changes Ive ever driven and is cheap to tax/insure and is very very economical. It drives absolutely lovely.

The only reason she is selling it is because she simply doesn't use it anymore now she's retired

I bet it only did 2k a year anyway

The paint is outstanding for the year, with only minimal rust on the usual wheel arch lips, but nothing serious and easily treated.

The mot tester, whilst underneath the car shouted to his mate "what year is this car" as he couldn't believe it was a 1998!

The only negatives on the whole car are

Back wiper motor works intermittently (Recon one £20 on ebay)

Could do with new brake discs and pads (£40 ish)

Slight knocking on suspension, but still passes MOT

Dont let that put you off though, it will come with a full 12mths MOT and 6 months tax, and as I said it drives superb

Ideal first car or cheap runaround with low costs

She would like £500, which is not a lot for a reliable runaround in this condition
