I'm looking for 2 new tyres for my FL vrs, I've had continental sport contact 3's since my last change and I've been happy with them. Pirelli P zero tyres have just finished top in Evo magazines latest tyre test and if you buy 2 you get 12 months free subscription to the mag. Anyone tried these tyres? I'm pretty sure they didn't do so well in previous tests (finished 5th I believe) whereas the Contis finished 1st.

I'd like the free subscription but I'm more bothered about getting the best performing tyre, I'd appreciate your thoughts.

They've not been the top rated tyre in any other test and then they come top in Evo and you get a free subscription..... Who's paying for the subscription, probably Pirelli......call me cynical, but..!!

Cheaper to buy them elsewhere and put some of the savings into an Evo sub

It's a fair point, there doesn't seem to be any PPC's within 30 miles of Leicester! The ones that are listed are showing the tyre at £130 fully fitted which is around the price I've been quoted for Continental and Goodyear asymmetric 2, Michelin ps3 are more expensive. I'm still hoping someone on this forum has experience of these tyres and can give me feedback.

I did seem a little surprising that a previously mid-performing tyre suddently tops the charts, and I've not seem similar results in any other tests.

Maybe they have changed the compounds but it seems unlikely they'd do this without re-branding?

TBH i always used to have an evo subscription (and autocar) but recently I just buy issues that appeal..
