2004 fabia vrs Heater blower motor / resistor...

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have had a look at precious threads on this subject however just hoping someone might be able to clarify for me.

My blower is not working at all now on any of the settings. Until the other day it worked for a couple of minutes when turned on and then died but is now completely gone. Awful knocking noise from behind dash also when fan turned on but that's gone now also.

My questions are - Is it likely to just be the resistor? Or the motor? Or is there anything else it could be?

Having had a look I think I can prob Change the resisitor and motor myself but don't want to if it may be something else!!

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Kirk

If just 1, 2 and 3 are broken and 4 does work then all you need to change is something called a Reostat (I think thats the name)

If its not working on any speeds checked the fuse, then check supply and earth to motor. If they are ok then it's a motor.

Cheers guys , the fuse is ok so will check the supply and earth. It's not working on any so think I can rule the other out.
