My fuel filter leaked over the weekend and its been fixed and is no longer leaking but I can still smell diesel. I'm guessing there must be some stuck on the under tray or somewhere in the bay. How is it best to clean the engine? With a jet wash/hose? I'm hoping doing this will flush through any diesel that may be left behind.

Snow foam lance, if you have not got, use Muck off, specialist bike cleaner available from halfords. It is designed to be save on aLUMINIUM FRAMES BUT REMOVES MUCK AND CHAIN OIL. aS YOURS IS A DIESEL, AS LONG AS YOU LEAVE IT RUNNING AND USE A DETAILING BRUSH AND DO NOT FINSE DIRECTLY INTO THE AIR FILTER /OVER FUSE BOX YOU WILL BE OK . whoops accidentally pressed caps lock
