Power for new aerial for DAB on Fabia Mk1

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am hoping to change the antenna on my Fabia from the factory fit to one which does DAB/FM/AM. The Kinetic or JVC aerials look OK, and take a 12v feed.

I would change the head unit too to one with a powered antenna cable - but I'm not sure how to connect the two short cables at each end together?

Can anyone recommend the right cable / connectors to use between the head unit and aerial, and maybe a good place to get it from?

I'm reasonably happy with the work to do it, but am struggling with the right bits to use.

Cheers.

Cheers. Did you use a scotchlok connector or anything?

The info on that page mentions using a 0.5A fuse, but I can only find 2A and higher online. Is it worth adding a fuse?
