Help to investigate possible water ingress problem

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a mk ii Superb. It has the following symptoms :

Slight damp smell when air conditioning on

Cruise control went off for an hour on last journey then came back on

Drivers side window had condensation on it when rest of car was clear

I am taking it in to the dealer next week, it still has 3 weeks main warranty and then a further approved used warranty until April. My concern is that reading the water ingress posts that these things could be the start of water ingress. I want to take a closer look but I am not that technical I will look at the pollen filter in the car to see if it's damp though when I replaced the pollen filter in the summer it was dry despite some wet weather. I'd like to pull up the front carpets but my question is can you do this without taking out the seats. Also what are other peoples experiences with dealers, if I mention the water ingress will they be likely to investigate or will they brush it off.

Thanks for your help
