Featured Replies

Hi Steve here,

Does anyone know where this sensor is please. It's came up on the code machine. Although another garage has said that the turbo needs replacing.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Replaced map and maf sensor still no success.

I'm gonnna replace the vaccum box as I think the actuator rod is not moving properly.

Does anyone know if there is a boost sensor within this box??

i think you will find its the sensor on the turbo/actuator, what year is the car? and has it got a DPF?

Hi the car is 2005 model. I'm not sure if it has a DPF on it.

I have someone hold the revs at 2500 and when I move the turbo arm manually it revs the car all the way past 3000 revs. Does this suggest the turbo is working.

Additionally I took the rubber hose which connects the actuator arm to the vacuum module out and could feel no suction when the car was revved. Does this suggest the module is not doing it's job. Should there be really strong suction coming from this hose to draw the arm in.

Hope I'm making sense..

Hi All,

Managed to fix the turbo issue. It wasn't the turbo it was a faulty Thrust Boost Sensor not a MAP or MAP and is located near the intercooler.

Hope this helps anyone who has intermittant turbo issues..

Cheers

Steve..

Any chance of a photo, or part number? Could be useful next week.
