Octavia VRS newbs

Featured Replies

Hi there,

After about 25+ years of owning various impractical little hot hatches and stuff like MX5's, we've finally seen the light and got ourselves a sensible car...........a Octavia VRS estate! :) - it's a Blackline in racing blue. Really gelled with the car already (despite some reservations about 'sports diesels'). Still running the car in at the mo., so haven't really used the full 'wall of torque' from it yet, but if the demo car was anything to by, I've got plenty to look forward to:)

Only thing I'm not that keen on with the car is the black wheels; they looked really good on the white car, but I'm not so sure with the Racing Blue - so, I'm thinking of getting them resprayed in normal VRS silver.

Hi and welcome aboard.

I quite like the black wheels with the blue.

Hi I've got a black blackline and wasn't sure about the black wheels and black paint but got the grill colour coded black and the windows tinted and now love the all black stealth look.ps welcome

Hi All,

i'm new to Skoda & Briskoda too - i've recently purchased the 2006 2.0 Octavia VRS hatchback. it's silver with the matching silver wheels, which look cool. great fun and defo a step in the right direction after driving a ford Puma 1.7 for the past 3 years.

"I've got a black blackline and wasn't sure about the black wheels and black paint but got the grill colour coded black and the windows tinted and now love the all black stealth look" I like your thinking - I've always quite like the idea of a fast stealth car. Quite like the look of the white blacklines with windows tinted aswell - that was our first colour choice for a saloon.

No matter what the colour, they're great cars. I've done more miles in a week in ours than I did in a month in our previous car - just keep popping out for a drive for the sake of it :)
