Juddering friggin windshield ahhhhhhhhh

Featured Replies

Well we've started too use rainx now and its been fine, however we may have applied too much? Windshield beads beautifully but it seems to clear the screen far too well and makes the blades judder, so what's the best way too remove it? I here meths is good or toothpaste ? Anyone ?

Had the same problem with rain x so don't use it any more. Try vinegar and news paper or pay loads extra for over the counter glass cleaner.

Mr Rooney I've just used the toothpaste method :) result its better but not totally gone, so I will keep applying each wash as the wax in the shampoo also gives smears, and will use the vinegar as well I will never use rainx again , well on the side windows maybe

You will get some judder with any rain repellent on the windscreen until the blades have had time to 'bed' in to the new surface finish on the windscreen.

Any form of polish or concentrated snow foam will degrade and remove what ever you have applied to the windscreen.

And also I've checked the rainx video there's a specific way to apply :) it's not just a chuck it on and wipe

sometimes it helps to clean the wiper blades off.....bit of vinegar on a cloth and wipe down the blade

I ditched Rain X a couple of years ago in favour of Gtechnik G5

Lasts a lot longer, does not smear and no juddering at all
