Hey guys, gotta say this forum looks amazing...sooooo much info can't wait to get active...just wondered if there is a pinned topic for common faults with fabia vrs' as I am looking to get one this year but wanted to know what goes wrong and maybe a what to watch out for when buying fabia vrs. Hi Callum,

Good luck with the purchase. The Fabia and that diesel engine have good reliability.

Maybe beware of over-stressed 'chipped' cars and all turbos need regular oil changes.

You can ask (and search) the specific Fabia section and tech forums.

Welcome.

Being an ex mk1 remapped furby vrs owner, it can be a stonking wolf in sheeps clothing, i would recommend you get an untouched one, & take it to a reputable mapper, who should be able to map it so it doesnt over strain the engine.

Mine just had a remap & panel filter, & did on quite a few occasions leave butt hugging large mercs & bmws on the motorway from 50-70 mph struggling to keep up. :)
