can any tell me where the cranksensor is on a 2lt petrol octavia, Car let me down yesterday,whilst waiting for the rac it started.recovery chap still attended and it came up with.p0304 and p0321.car drove home fine,It had a new sensor fitted 3 years ago,and a new timing belt was fitted 12k ago,is it worth changing it. thanks phil

To the right of the oil filter (as you look at the engine), low down on the cylinder block close to the gearbox.

thanks for that fordfan,i changed the oil and filter today,found the sensor but didnt have enough room to get to it,bought new part today,garage fitting it tomorrow,it seems strange as the car has started fine today although whilst driving it isnt 100% smooth,oh and the engine light came on again.
