A little warning..... Monte Carlo (2)

Featured Replies

Now covered 269 miles. MPG has touched 60, the norm seems to be around mid 50s which is quite pleasing at this early stage.

One niggle.....The rear wiper works fine on demand for a short period following start-up, later it fails to operate - washes but no sweep...?

I've just tried it after the car has been parked up for 5 hrs and it works ......Has any other owner experienced problems with their M/Carlo / Mk2 Fabia?

I should mention that I sought advice on the achievable price for my Mk1 Fabia Vrs on this forum, and your response gave me a good steer on what to ask for! (And achieve !)

I've now requested similiar on the Superb Mk2 forum under the title "What price"? If you can offer any advice please let me know..especially if you have seen similiar in your area / theatre of operations...

Regards,

W.

Why is a wiper problem a little warning?

ive not found any problems with mine... if i did then i'd rink skoda and ask them to fix it :p

warranty for the win!

There is a supposed 'known' fault with the rear wiper motor so it is worthwhile getting this checked out by your dealer. A number of forum members have had theirs replaced.

Is it the motor that goes as mine has packed up, 3 days old ! ! ! !

GRRRR

Car 67, I believe so, the worst i recall from about 18 months ago was that the plastic covering the motor discoloured through heat, you should be able to find the thread but it is many pages back now. Back to the dealers to replace under warranty unfortunately.

Hope it is sorted for you without too much pain.
