My fans won't stop on my 57 plate vrs petrol it's not over heating any ideas?

I have read here a while ago about diesel VRS with the same problem. Apparently it was corroded contacts on the fan switch low down on the rad. Worth a check?

Fans sorted it was a joint in the wiring loom for the fans it had filled up with water the guy that fixed said when he opened it it gushed out! The connections are badly corroded and will need changing in the future was wondering will I need new fans as its attached to the wiring loom or just replace the corroded parts?

Try keeping the fans, and replacing the old connector with something a bit more robust. Plenty available on the Bay:
