I went to Halfords yesterday to get a rear wiper for my superb. They don't stock them, anyone know anywhere that sells them that I can just pop in or a place on line.

This is what they say for a 2010 Superb Estate, which is wrong, this is a 280m blade and should be 400mm. Wasted purchase and with on line now the pain of posting back etc...

They should pay for return postage, as it's their error.

I take it you have a Superb estate? since there is no rear wiper for the twindoor. Do you have a local TPS (VW group parts trade supplier)? they may do you a cash sale and you may save a few bob plus you will get the original quality item .they just put in your car reg no and you get the correct item.

Next time will look at this option. For the moment I have to go through the PITA of returning an on line purchase and seeing if they have the right item. Next time I go to the garage!!

I know it's frustrating when stuff like this happens. Can I say, though, that the website you purchased from makes very clear that this is a 280mm (11") blade. If I had been purchasing this for a Superb estate, I would have been thinking "Hey, my rear wiper blade is a lot longer than 11" - half that length again - must be a mistake".

I had exactly the same thing ended up going to the dealer after internet purchase as price was hardly different and it was correct.

My wifes Seat Leon just had its second service and they said that her rear wiper was smearing and beyond its best. Asked if she wanted it changed and she agreed as it was just over £7. I was really shocked at how cheap it was for a main dealer. I usually get mine from Halfords with a trade card but I think it would be a struggle to beat Seats price.

Are you sure they chnged all wiper not just a rubber? Is it VW/Seat/Skoda part? I've been offered number of times some cheap replacements.

Did anyone find a decent online place to buy an OEM rear wiper for the combi?

 

Getting it delivered to my work is infinitely more convenient than having to trudge over to the Skoda garage.
