Engine Fault

I'm back here for your advice gents and ladies. I've not been here for a while but I have a fault that I need your advice on.

Driving home today the glow plug light started flashing, "engine fault workshop" came on the maxidot, and car went into limp mode. Managed to get it home turned the engine off and restarted it, low and behold all was fine. This has happened back at the end of Feb and I'd forgotten all about it.

It happened some 2yrs ago and a faulty exhaust sensor was diagnosed (this was replaced)

There seems to be a number of potential issues looking through the forum.

My thoughts are its been less than 2 months since it last happened, is there potential for it to happen more frequently??

I also looked 2yrs ago at visiting Shark and having the DPF removed.

What are your thoughts on the above??
