sound proofing suggestions

Featured Replies

just a qiuck question to put out to every one. I know of the sound proofing mod made by seat, and have this on order. but what else is out there, either specific for the fabia, or ripped from another make or model, or indeed doing it pikey style?

i understand some of you have sound proofed your cars. did you all do it your selfs, or had it profesionally done. and what sort of cash are we talking about? cheers all.

I'll be doing the Seat engine one. Also I'll be purchasing a Dynamat Extreme Bulk pack for lining the doors and boot. The Noisekiller treatment will follow.

whats the noise killer treatment involve then?

Noise killer treat basically puts the material under the bonnet, under the carpet front/back, and in the boot where the spare is + wheel arches.

Steve didnt fancy doing the doors but left me the door panel bits. I've not been brave enough to take off the doors (well, the covers) and plant those on there yet though.

Price is as mentioned above. Nice guy and he fitted it pretty cleanly too :)

The SEAT PD130 cover thing is on order, I doubt it will make much additional difference but I'm willing to give it a shot, it can't do any harm as the engine should be able to take the heat in that area anyway.

Pikey mods for me. Sound deadening felt x 2 rolls, 1m x 1.5m each @

You can buy the 'SEAT' sound deadening from skoda, they also fit it to the Octy2 105 PD.
