Featured Replies

hi all

need a little advice pls. i have been told that when i am changing the front pads that i will need to clamp the brake lines to the callipers when pushing back the piston!

apparantly if i dont do this the diaphram in the master cylinder will reverse and the brakes will become inoperable.

does this mean anyrthing to any of you ?

thanks in advance

i know that but i was told that the bleed nipple was to be opened as the pisto was been pushed back!

If you do clamp the brake line you will not be able to push the pistons back, unless you open the bleed nipple.

This will stop the fluid resavoir overflowing unless you remove some of the fluid.

In 40 years as a M.V.Tech I have never had a master cylinder washer turn back. in fact the design shape of the washer would not allow this.
