Can anyone who has an Octy III confirm if VAG have sorted the gapless album issue with the Ipod/USB connection in the latest model?

I notice 48 views and no replies, so to clarify (if it helps!), I'm talking about the issue where a gapless album pauses between tracks (there's a silent break).

So, for example, if you have an album like 'Echoes:Best of Pink Floyd' or 'Violator' (Depeche Mode), or any house/dance mixed album, instead of the songs continuing into each other you get about a 1 second pause between them as it puts the next song on, effectively ruining the point of it being gapless!

Could just be me being anal about it, of course, and no-one else has noticed but I believe it is a known issue on VAG technical forums.

I read a fix for this a few weeks back when trying to see if the issue can be fixed when running off SD card.

I will try and dig out the link but not hopeful I can find it again.

I tried the SD card route as well, just to see if it was the fact that it was an Ipod and the MDI doing it, but as you intimate there was no difference.

I've only tried streaming from my iPhone via Bluetooth rather than plugging it in directly (I leave the USB stick connected) and have no issues there.
