Ok guys in not really into the whole detailing thing but now ive a black octy vrs i have to start to clean it. I dont have a powerwasher or a buff so its all by hand. My questions are...

Do i wash using 2 bucket method, then clay bar, then use the likes of poorboys black hole, then a coat of wax? Also wot wax would u recommend that will come of easy by hand? Thanks

Rinse thouroughly using a hose pipe...or if you havent got one...Throw a couple of buckets of water (Warm) over it...It will help to loosen the dirt

Then TBM with a mf Wash pad or mitt...not a sponge

Clay...Bilt hamber clay..uses water as the lubricant..others use a QD as the lubricant

Wash again

Rinse

Dry

Apply PB Black Hole

Get some Poorboys EX-P sealer and or Poorboys Natty Wax as your LSP/s

Both are incredibly easy to apply and buff off

Do i put the poorboys sealer and natty wax on or just 1 of them? Cheers

Sealer first (EX-P)...Leave to cure for an hour or so..Then Wax...not the other way round

Hi Matty

As a fellow black VRS owner, I feel your pain with regards to the cleaning! I wash mine every week at the moment (I quite enjoy it!) and it does get dirty quite quickly. However, if you spend a bit of time getting it looking great initially, it takes much less effort to maintain it. I use Victoria Concourse wax on top of Black Hole and EXP as ChrisRs has suggested. The combination give a fantastic shine. And nothing looks better than a clean black car.

Cheers for all the info. I wash mine every week aswell at the min but just wash and then use meguires quick detailer on it. But want to do it properly

Once it's washed and polished, a quick was and a little quick detailer will keep it looking great!

Found this thread very helpful
