YY05 UPL - Possible new purchase

Featured Replies

Hey guys wondering if you all can help me out.

Me and my partner are looking to get a Skoda Fabia VRS as our next car, went to look at one and noticed it had Briskoda.net stickers on it, so wondered if anyone on here had any information on it?

The link is:

Just looking to get some history on the car, I test drove it and it seemed a lovely drive no obvious noises or anything.

Any help would be greatly appriciated, either a step away or go and buy buy buy :D

Cheers

If it drove nice I'd buy it... If the service history is as it says and the cambelt and waterpump have been done and your normal checks have been done .....I'd try and get the price down..

Yeh, sounds nice but price is a bit high to me, I paid 1k less than that 4yrs ago for an 04 with 49k on clock and cruise control. Had No service history and a few stone chips on bonnet though.

I don't think the price is that high considering its from a garage...I payed less for mine but I was lucky.

I've noticed anything without sub 90k, seems to sell and hold its value with vrs's..

Looks a very nice car

Makes my 55 plate with FSH with 65,000 that I picked up 12 months ago look like a bargain!

I only paid £4200.

If it's a nice enough car than I'd say buy it :)

I paid £2500 for my 2005 54 plate with 93k and part service history :-)

I paid £4500 for a 55plate, with 72000 on the clock, with full skoda service history, and only has a couple of stone chips and a very minor dent on the door :-)

I paid 2k for an 04 with 111k, full service history 9/10 condition in black.

i paid 4k for an 07 with 72k, Full service history, belts and water pump done at 65k by dealers, in black.

That's an ibiza though?

Some of these comparisons are waay of the chart!

Ttly pointless posts!

Does the op care you bought a 100k plus vrs? No! Its irrelevant!

Back to the case in question

It is a bit steep the price id aim at knocking £500 off!

I helped my mate buy one recenlty, very similar car, 05 plate in silver with 78k miles so pretty much identical car!

My mates is clean with full service history and we picked it up for £3950 privately so if you could get it for sub £4,500 it looks a good buy

Alternatively you could buy private and you should get a similar car for around the 4k bracket

To be honest, all the guy wanted to know was whether anyone on here owned it. Not whether it was at a good price.. He's obviously happy with the price if he's been and test drive it!

You get what you pay for! Last summer I went to see about 30 different tdi's Leons/A4's/Golf's ect. all described as "immaculate" and all were rotten or had 6 years of history missing. The OP is probably fussy like me and would rather pay a slight premium for a good example.
