Brake light bulb blown, replace with LED ones or just normal bulb?

Featured Replies

Already did a quick search and checked Google images, a bulb blew this morning so I was going to just replace both sides with the same standard bulbs

but i came across the LED ones on eBay, are they any good or at least better then normal bulbs??

I would just replace with a normal bulb. They're cheap, tried and tested :)

LEDs are intermittent at the best of times, don't want that happening to a brake light.

Normal, yes.

LED’s are also very directional, so in short they are not as good as the std fillament bulb if you view them at a slight angle, for this reason std bulbs in brake lights and indicators every time for me.

Pretty sure you'd get a bulb error light on the dash if you

used LED brakelights.

You can swap out the reverselights for LEDs with no issues

but I'm fairly certain the rest will cause issues of one sort or another.
