I have a 2005 octavia elegance 2.0 tdi with DSG gearbox. It is very smooth, apart from a very pronounced vibration between 40-50 mph. Whole front end feels likes its shaking side to side. If i pull my foot off the loud pedal it stops shaking, i.e it is only happening when engine is under load. Anyone had this problem , or could shed some light on it please ?

Wheel balance?

I have had the issue for quite a while now (and changed tyres twice in that time) so i think i can rule that out. Would i be right in saying i would still have the vibration at that speed when not on the accelerator if it were a balance issue ? Im no expert though and cars are funny old things.

The last 2 MOT have indicated the bushes could do with replacing on the front? Could this be an issue ?
