ok guys just a quickie when buying a convience module do I just have to match up the numbers e.g 1c0 959 799 b or does it have to match up the numbers and be specific to the car?

Just be careful with the CCM, My wife has a 2001 passat and it has the same part number as that. Try and get one out of a Superb of the same year.. There are normally another string of numbers stamped on the CCM, try and match those too.
