ECU and remap

Featured Replies

I seem to have a small problem with my ECU and the remap,The problem being that when i have work done by a remapper and then take it to the dealer as soon as he plugs into the serial port it knocks out the remap, ie when its been set to have the tubro on at 2500 revs as soon as the garage plug into the car the boost is then all over the place.Sometimes between what it should have been and up to 4000revs.Remapper has no idea what causes it and neither do the garage.Somebody must know!! help:(

I see from previous posts that you have/had a piggy-backed Superchip remapped by an Upsolute technician. So is it an Upsolute programme now or what?

i had it remapped by upsolute after i had the piggy back taken off,i took it to RR and got the figures,180bhp and 250lbs torque, the engineer said that the reason the bhp ahdnt gone up was due to the airflow meter.I had that replaced and the remap was then completly out, no turbo until four thousand revs were it had come in at about 1500.I was still having problems as it would rev hard and go no where:( so i went back to the remapper and asked him to put it back to standard so i could take it back to the garage and make sure the car was perfect before having the remap done again. They told me the clutch had gone and they replaced it,picked up the car and again no turbo until about 4000 revs!! asked the garage about and they said they had only reset a few fault codes. So now its supposed to be back to standard but theres no kick when turbo comes in at 4000 revs!! could the piggy back chipped have damaged the ecu??
