Fixed my central locking

Featured Replies

If anyone's having central locking problems, it might be worth checking the wires that run from the car body into the driver's door where it hinges. I'd been having problems with cycling of my central locking and decided to have a peek inside the rubber trunking that carries the wires. This is what I found. As you can see, the yellow and green wire had completely broken due to the opening and closing action of the door. There are some very thin wires in there and I'm not surprised that they can break. I'd been worried that there was something wrong with the electronics or other components but ten minutes with a soldering iron and my locking is perfect again.
