vrs driver side fog

Featured Replies

Hello. Can anyone point me to a cheap VRS drivers-side front fog lamp as mine has been smashed... Skoda want £80 for 1....

Skospares.co.uk frequently break all sorts. Or eBay as alternative.

I would take it on the chin and either buy a new OE genuine one

Or hunt round the breakers for an OE genuine used one.

I certainly wouldn't buy a pattern one. (again) It's a false economy.

Bought a pair from a reputable ex site sponsor for my Fab vRS and

they both leaked then fogged up and caused other damage.

I have just bought 2 depo branded ones for my VRS for just over £50 delivered.. turns out they are the same foglights as used in Beetles up to 2005.... Ive had them in 2 months and we've had some pretty humid conditions and havent seen any misting up as yet...

I hunted round the breakers and eBay for months and months before I bought the pattern part ones but they all want to sell them with the bumpers.. I would get some pattern part ones and replace both for less than the cost of a single OEM one - it also means you don't have it looking odd on the front end with one bright new one and one stoned chipped one..

That was the thinking I had, I'd rather have two new shiny ones than one old

and one new. But it didn't work out for me. Mine weren't Depo brand though.

Perhaps they are better quality then.

I used Depo replacement lamps on my previous Astra and never had an issue with them.. I know they are the actual manufacturer of headlamps for some manufacturers. Think the ones I took out were Valeo...
