Locking Wheel Nut Socket- Where to look?

Featured Replies

I collected a new Fabia vRS Around 6 weeks ago and it has just occurred to me that I am yet to find the socket for the locking wheel nuts.

I had a look in the obvious places - glove boxes, in the wheel well. Nothing.

Is there a specific place they are put from the factory? Or do I need to call the dealer and ask him to find it?

The locking wheel nut socket should be in the the 'tray' in the centre of the spare wheel. That's assuming you have a spare wheel and not the can of squirt.

Off for another look. Had a rummage today and couldn't see it.

what moley said :)

Have you looked in the handbook to see where it should be located?

Unless they have changed the spec the vRS has a spare wheel (space saver) as standard. The lock nut socket should be in the polystyrene tray in the middle of the wheel with all the other bits. If not speak to the dealer and get it sorted.

Have you found the tray with the jack and wheelbrace in it?

Found the damn thing in the black castrol pouch along with the oil.

I have put it in with the spare wheel since that makes a lot more sense.

If it was a new purchase, that's where it should be. :)
