Got a problem and can't raise the boost above 1.55bar..so hoping that can be diagnosed..reckoning the external wastegate springs gone soft...here's hoping its something simple.

I know it's late but..

Car made just over 350 at 1.5 bar boost...which is what I was told it will make..

But after talking to bill this is about 100bhp short of what it should be..

(His cupra makes 480bhp at 1.5..this is of similar spec)

$hite forge IC is no good..surprise surprise..

Torque intervention is playing big part..

And I was correct the external wastegate spring is way to soft..and won't hold the boost.

So I've got few little jobs to do and am getting it remapped by bill.

So happy days await me..

Oh and on way back had a play with a black 04 plate E8 i think he was a bit surprised being left on the bass on the way home by a skoda..

Its known the Forge IC will not allow more than 350bhp, so the fact you're making this think you have to look on it as a positive

You can have 5 switchable maps...gear based boost makes a big difference to fuel economy when cruising around too
