Shark Stage 1 remap, with STS £300

I thought these were non transferable?

(his is a genuine enquiry as my SIL has just bought a 55 plate L&K Octavia Estate (105bhp) and is going to considering a shark remap in a couple of months.

The remap isn't. The STS itself is. The car is offered without the remap (i.e. as standard).

Once the remap is applied, the STS is "locked". To unlock it the original map has to be returned to the car. A new original map can then be downloaded from another car, sent off, sent back as a performance map and applied to the "new" car. This will then lock the STS.

Lather, rinse and repeat as required. ;)

The STS can effectively only be used on one car at any one time.

Unlocked STS sometimes appear in the for sale section too ;)
