I just got a very clean 2001 2.0l Octavia Elegance. Everything works fine, but the way the central door lock system engages above 10mph drives me crazy.

 

Is it possible to disable the automatic speed-sensitive locking system without special tools? I do not have VAG-COM.

Yes, but you DO need VCDS.

 

Module 46, central convenience, Adaption 10, somewhere around channels 3,4,5,6 there is the option to turn on and off "auto lock" and "auto unlock"
