intermittent wipers

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I have had a problem with my front wipers in the intermittent setting.

They seem to choose what ever spead they want to depending on the day.

No matter what setting I put them on one day they will decide to work on the very slow setting then the nex day fast setting and so on.

Heard some where it could be the stalk that could be at fault and just needs cleaning if so I did see a detailed description with pictures on how to do this but can't for the life in me remember where I have seen in.

If anyone could help or point me in the right direction I would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

You don't have auto wipers then?

as above, if you have auto wipers the adjuster changes the sensitivity of the wipers, further left is less sensitive, further right more so.

do you have the rain sensor behind your rear view mirror on your windscreen?

No just have the standard wipers. No sensor behind the mirror.

Just a little switch on the stalk to adjust the settings from slow to fast.
