Cheapest Hunter alignment equipped garage - West Yorkshire, Leeds area

Featured Replies

Hello.

I'm looking at getting my car properly tracked and aligned with the Hunter equipment as i've had it done with the old system and it didn't help at all, it's still out which isn't great.

I've been quoted £65 all in at Infiniti in Leeds but wondered if it's cheaper anywhere else around Leeds or West Yorkshire area?

Any recommendations please!

Thanks a lot :)

I used ABC in pudsey a year or so ago,top blokes with the latest equipment,i think i paid around £80,to me its not about who is the cheapest, its about who has the right equipment & more importantly knows how to use it correctly, these guys checked my car over & took the time to show me the adjustments & set the car up to my driving style, they are approx 40 miles away from where i live but id not use anybody else.

I use Allcar tyre and exhaust Huddersfield. Dan.. They are on Leeds road.

£50.00 all in.

Garage isn't flash but the tech who did the work was spot on. Smart guy, had a chat about what I wanted beforehand and before and after prints as you'd expect. Full hunter system and listed on alignmycar.com

Thanks for that mate, completely agree about the "all the gear no idea" thing too. Bit too out of my price range though :(

Oooooh this seems great! Go on Leeds road everyday to uni

When you say what you want, is that about having fast road set ups or something? What even is that?

Is it worth noting that i'll be running about 200bhp at Christmas so will be going a bit faster than normal but other than that its 60 miles a day commuting to uni and back on motorway 80% of the time with the occasional fast back road. Totally out of the loop when it comes to suspension/geometries/tracking etc I should probably learn about it haha. Give me an engine and i'm fine!

My rear tyre (which was originally on the front) has worn at a horrendous angle as is really bad on the inside, is it worth swapping that bast over to my spare and using my spare tyre (which is good) instead when being tracked/aligned etc?

Big plans for Christmas, is Santa bringing you a Hybrid Turbo :)

Essentially we had a chat about the car and current modifications, he then asked about road camber and various options to track the car to counteract the slight left hand pull felt in VAG cars on UK cambered roads, I opted against this as if I get around to putting the car on track this would not be desirable.

What I requested was that the car be tracked to run true and straight on a totally flat piece of tarmac.  The car has limited adjustment anyway so without adding something like a superpro ALK kit etc talking about fast road set up is a bit of an exageration.

So toe as per manufacturer's file and making sure that toe and caster are running even each side not cross caster which biases one side.  The car already runs negative camber from lowering, the alignment check allowed me to see that caster and camber were even each side.

It was also interesting to see that the lowering and anti roll bar had added some toe in at the rear wheels, but again even each side.

Will dig out the printout and try to post up the before and after to better illustrate.

Essentially I thought they did a good job and the tech didn't just take my car and do what he thought needed doing, it was a conversation beforehand giving chance to talk out the cause and effect of what I was asking for etc.  Ultimately the adjustments were nothing special, but I felt confident that the guy new his onions.

Another recommendation for ABC in Pudsey here.

Regardless of the Cost of a check and adjustment,

Have you checked the vehicle fully before putting in for adjustment,

Everything all correct in the steering and suspension and nothing needing replacing.  Bushes, springs, dampers, bearings etc all as should be?
