Stereo

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where i can get some radio keys from to get my stereo out? i tried ebay and got some but they were the wrong ones.

Also do you need an adaptor plate to fit another stereo in? If so where do i get one of them from?

Many thanks

Any help is much appreciated

I use sony stereo keys on my stereo in my superb and the wifes fabia.

I cut up an old credit card...worked for me. And you don't need an adaptor if it's the standard cassette/cd head unit.

A hacksaw blade snapped in half is the perfect size and works perfectly

All I did in the end was take the bottom tray out and yank the radio out, all I need is a radio adaptor as I forget to bring one with me when I was changing the stereo.

I have noticed that the rear speakers are not working, could this be anything to do with the water ingress problem? When I get my car fully serviced at Skoda they change the pollen filter if they change that all I need to do is sort the wiring out under the passenger seat if im not mistaken?

I don't think the speakers go through the CCM. it's probably a miss wire on your adaptor behind the stereo.

I cut a strip about 5-6mm wide out of an old credit card, worked a treat.

I installed a double DIN sat/nav system (Clarion NX700), just needed a standard double DIN adaptor, around £8 on an auction website.
