Ok so I went through flood water and now have lots of water in my fog lights. How do I go about removing them so I can empty it out ?   Cheers 

Remove the bumper to access them I believe

As Matt said, bumper off for the vRS/  MkI FL.

 

Two torx screws and out they come on '99- 2003 models

when i did mine i took the fog light surround off

opened the cover/door on the rear of the light
unplug the 2 wires
pull the lense backwards 

you can then pull the remove the lenses by bringing them towards the (left on driversside , right on the passenger) and then to the front and underneath the fog light unit and out of the big hole to the side of the light 

you can then clean them up and replace
