Brake Caliper Interchangeability

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

I am being offered some calipers off of a 07 Vrs, as mine need a bit a recondition and a paint, so was thinking of rotating a set.

My question, which I hope one of you good people might be able to answer, is that will these fit a 2009 VRS Ltd edition?

Thanks

Dan

yep.

tbh though its' a lot of effort you'd be going through just to get your calipers shiny.. how bad are they for a car that's only 4 (?) yrs old? If they've faded you could probably polish them back up, or worst case some smooth hammerite can be applied with them in-place if you're careful.

Thanks!

Suprisingly, the rear calipers are very bad... Most paint has peeled off and there is a hell of alot of corrosion present, which is a shame as its well looked after and cleaned often.

One of my front calipers is a little sticky, so could probably do with a re-seal and a tidy up, and for what im being offered these calipers for... I cant really say no.

It may only be years old, but shes done some miles now... 102K to be precise. :-)
