Plus its Saturday and I am board lol ;)...

I've had my grill done a couple of times now.... originally I paid something like £5 for some black wrap off the 'bay. Turned out rubbish. I also spent about £35 on the paint, primer and other related bits from Halfords to paint myself, but again, crap finish. So in the end I paid a local body shop £60 to do the grill and fog surrounds.

Plastidip is what you need

Halfords sell that acrylic paint (plastidip) but not sure how good it is

Cheers guys awesome help I was just going to pop down to spares world to pick up a spray can lol there a Audi a3 where I live and they just sprayed it but you could see the chrome comeing back through road chippings ect..... just wondered if there was an easy fix to see if I liked it or not, could get to black if you get my drift all of the car is black see any other ideas for me guys like I said I haven't really ever worked on my cars but any easy things I can do lol.. :).

If 8 was you I'd get the plastidip stuff from Halfords as there's no prep required just clean it and keep spraying it and you can peel it off like rubber if you want to. Spraying it properly you'll need to rub it down, primer and paint and then lacquer so it will be more expensive and I've never wrapped so can't say how hard that is.

Just went to the local car shop and I picked up some primer and gloss black spray paint just need some sand paper now do you think I can find any lol bugger

If you wrap you need quite a big piece to do it in one and imo it never looks good as paint. To paint well sand the hell out of it, the paint wont stick to the chrome so get rid of that. I used an electric sander. Paint somewhere warm and dust free and put the can of paint in warm water for a few mins before you spray. Good luck. Seen some shockers but if its done right they look great

They sell acrylic paint same as plastidip

So you have bought 2 out of the 3 paints.  What about the clear coat / lacquer?   :p

and you also need wet & dry and polishing skills for flatting back the lacquer once it has dried off properly.
