Fabia 1.9tdi non vrs remap.

Featured Replies

My 1.4 mpi recently got wrote off and am looking to buy a fabia 1.9 tdi pd100.

I want to get it re mapped but don't know any places in the oxfordshire area and wondering if anyone knows any decent places?

Also how much power will I be gaining from the stage 1 map and will I have to do anything else to support this.

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure the only difference between the pd100 and a pd130 (vrs) is the turbo and injectors. You can pick up a turbo fairly cheap and I'd imagine a set of used injectors would be fairly cheap then it would map upto around 170bhp 300ft/lb

Stage one on a PD100 will take you to around 130bhp. Some mappers claim to get 140+ but IMO i wouldn't want that as the turbo is pretty pushed.

Once you upgrade the turbo I think you can get to about 165 before you max out the pd100 injectors. Then you're into new injectors and clutch territory, maybe even an FMIC.

Even better then, find a cheap vrs turbo and then a safe remap to around 160bhp

Didn't know that was the only difference! Looks like Ill be doing that then.. find a vrs turbo and get it mapped to around 155-160 then when I get bored can save for new injectors, clutch, fmic and bigger brakes! haha.

Thanks for the help :)

You might want the clutch sooner than later. ;)  Good thing with the 5 speed on the non vRS is you can use the G60/VR6 clutch setup with singlemass flywheel which is pretty cheap but still pretty strong too!

Bigger brakes will also require you to change the whole hub assemblies on the front as the non vRS comes with hubs that have the brake carrier as an integral part. :)

Google throws up a few. I've used AutoPS in Brackley - but for servicing, not for tuning or upgrading. If you can make it over to Milton Keynes, Unit18 are good... If you can find them. :)

My Octavia vRS TFSI was remapped by Angel Tuning. They're based in Oxfordshire and have good feedback on various forums (and some bad, but who doesn't?!). My car has been mapped over a year now with absolutely no issues. Pulls hard to the redline when needed and can return almost 44 mpg's on a long run (driving gently admittedly). My AFR's are spot on too which gives me confidence the map is good.

Check them out.

Cheers ill check them out :)

I've got a PD115 turbo fitted to my PD100 and mapped to suit thanks to Shark Performance, currently running 153bhp and 270lb/ft. Will be going soon sadly as I am changing my car :)

I would recommend Faboka VRS off here he knows his stuff and I am very impressed with what he has done so far on my rallycar.
