Best size for 17" 7J wheel

Featured Replies

Just bought some speedline turinis and I'm looking to put some track tyres on them, looking at either 215/40's or 215/45's yokohama AD08 or Federal 595 RSR cheers

When I finally get round to smashing some track wheels on I was planning on going for some AD08's in 215/40 flavour. A mate tried them on his Cerbera and hasnt stopped going on about them as a fast road/track tyre.

I had the federal's on on my vRS wheels and I can say they were pretty awesome too but they cracked right across the whole tyre that's why I'm wanting to try the AD08's I think, mate runs them on his civic and hasn't had a problem with them ! Think I'll go for the 40's then like yourself Matt

215/45 too big.  There's basically 2 choices 205/40 R17 or 215/40 R17 - The latter I approve of more, but that doesn't mean 205/40 is a bad choice. :)

how far out will the speedo be on 215/40's or will it not be noticeable?

215/40 wouldnt be noticeable. I run them on my S3 wheels (7.5j)

oh cool. they've got 4 Parada's on ATM with a bit of tread left but I'll be going for the AD08's next. Only problem now I have 17's is my brakes are going to look tiny :( lol
