My 2005 1.9tdi has an intermitent cutting out issue.

Had car in garage and they have looked at car and scanned it and its coming up Cylinder No 4 missfire. I had the new injector loom last April and all has been good till Xmas eve.

They have suggested that it maybe a injector fault. What's peoples thoughts?

Im not knocking the garage they have been excellent to use over the years. they havnt even charged me for today scan and a good look under the bonnet incase anything had come adrift.

Car is low mileage   221000 miles lol

When i had this issue, besides changing the wiring loom, i had new rubber gaskets that surround the injectors. We found out that the rubber seals over time had given up and were "leaking" of some sort. I'm deffo not saying that this is your issue, but maybe... 

 

I had them all changed by the way and it didn't take long for my workshop. They were also cheap.
