FINALLY! A TRUE REAR SPEAKER UPGRADE! :speaker:

Nice one! :D

Handy link  - could we drop this into a sticky please for the ICE section as it seems like one of those questions that comes up a fair bit :D

Anybody know where one could purchase the UD-M177 VW adaptor?

Does it come with the speakers or is it a seperate item?

For those who often ask what speakers they can fit in the front and rear on the Fabia look here..

Top selection in the menu 'select speakers for your car'' date=' go through to Skoda, Fabia 9/99-

Gives you a list of applicable speakers and adaptors front and rear for those who just want simple basic upgrades.[/quote']

Tart. You shouldn't have "upgraded speakers" in the rear :P ;)

Remember, I'm just round the corner too :)

why not? :D Not looking into any at the moment - better off dealing with the necessary bits first #1 = engine, #2 = ICE :D

Which Pioneer models are recommended from that list then? Would just be looking for upgraded to the front doors really :)

Steve

I have TS-A171C speakers in the front doors. Although I managed to put it in place I would recommend you NOT to buy them unless you have very VERY good nerves! :)

Can someone please confirm that the rear side speakers are 13cm? Because it doesn't look that way to me...more like 10cm speakers.

Wardy> if I were you I would go for the TS-1785 speakers (2-way separate system)

They're tens IIRC. What you could do is either fit in 13s or 6x9s onto the rear panel and get support fitted under it (over time the weight will get to it and it will collapse), or if you don't wanna make holes into the rear panel, get a custom wood job done and fitted, so that when you decide to sell the car you can remove it and replace with the original undamaged boot panel.

If you want great sound, you're gonna have to go for bigger than 10s. If you wanna just fill up the rear, then use the space provided :)

Mil> actually, I have 6x9" speakers from Kenwood (KFC-6979ie, on rear shelf) and planning on selling them to buy TS-A131C from Pioneer just to fill up the rear end.
