Got my wifi scanner in post today and downloaded dash command,

Every thing works great but I noticed when i turn car off and remove the key the scanner stays lit up. Would this drain the battery?

Also has any 1 tried the REV app? Is it any better than dash command?

Sorry no answer to your question but I do have one of my own, was your scanner plug and play? I have one and I can't get it to connect on the app.

You'd best unplug it. I left mine in overnight and it killed the battery

Yep, OBD port stays live even with ignition off. Obviously some of the modules are powered down with the ignition off so the dongle will not communicate with them but power to the dongle will still be available.

Where'd you get it? Have seen some for around 40 US dollars on Dealextreme.

 

Have the same issue with Bluetooth OBD2 myself.

 

Was planning a mount for my phone with QI charging built in. QI chargers look a bit nickable hemselves though...!
