intercooler clip prob

Featured Replies

The bottom intercooler hose clip from hose to front hard pipe..!

I found that some mechanic that previously worked on the car didnt put the correct clip on and it wasnt even reaching over the 2 metal tabs on the hard pipe causing the hose to slip out slightly causing limp mode.

Now I've got hold of the correct clip but for the life of me it will not go on, I've spent all day on 1 clip.

Its like it literally 1to2mm short.

If I get one side of the clip over the metal tab the other side will not go on, and I'm using mole grips on both sides of the clip to try and persuade it to go over the tabs.

Im worried that if I apply excessive force I will break the metal tab on the hard pipe.

Is there a specific way to fitting this clip? I wouldn't have thought so!

What ufking waste of a day.
