front mount hard pipework being done..... :-)

Featured Replies

Car going into longlife next week to have hardpipes made up for my front mount intercooler...

I'm well happy at the moment, I've mounted the cooler on the car so just the pipework to be made up..

Next job after this will be to do the clutch and flywheel which will be solid conversion but going to wait until better weather before I do that on my driveway lol

Should look lovely once it's on

How did you mount the cooler mate? ive got mine just waiting for my new slam panel to arrive so that can go on at the same time.. as for the front mount ive not got any brackets to mount it with.. also my piping dont have a map sensor fitting so need to get that added on.. what size pipe are you runnning mine looks about 2 inch but havent had a chance to measure it..

haych- there'a few places sell MAP adapters as an alloy joiner. I'm sure autosiliconehose used to but there's a few places that sell them

My pipework will be 2 n quarter inch... i was lucky, I had a map sensor adapter pipe included in the kit that came with the intercooler (second hand)...

I just made a bracket up, bracket bolts to the cooler, and to the car also

He isn't going to polish the pipes but for the price he is doing for me I don't care.. I can always buy a tube of autosol and sit n polish it myself

What did you pay for yours..?

Payed 120 quid but it came with all pipework... however, he done me really because the pipes arrived rattlecanned red, paint flaking n ****..

So I have kept back the 45 and 90 degree samcos and all the clamps and binned the rest.. But it did include a map sensor pipe so that's a plus

i payed 100 for mine with all connecters.. crome piping and a baileys dv30 recirc dump valve.. so i guess i win    Would you not be interested in selling the pipes he gave you?

Your always welcome to do the clutch and fly wheel change in my garage mate as im only in porth always willing to help a vrs owner out plus gives me practice to do mine
