ABS/ESP Problem

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My Octy has been throwing a ABS/ESP fault. A scan with VCDS shows 01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64). 012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit - Intermittent.

I checked the fuses in the fuse box beside the battery, and all is good. Unless there's another location.

Is there anything else I should be checking? Otherwise, what replacement part should I be getting? The local dealership in Singapore is ............

Also, I read if I'm replacing the Pump, I could also retrofit the Park Assist module. So if I have to replace the pump, then I might as well replace it with somethign compatible.

Thanks!!!

what abs pump do you have now?

The scan shows 1KO 907 379 AP.

The car was made mid 2009. 2.0 Tsi. Right Hand Drive.

upgrade to one that supports PLA and Hill hold

Check the Load Signal Cable to the alternator isn't broken as that threw up a similar fault with my Polo.

Anything else to take note of? I suspect if I bring it to a workshop, they will simply suggest replacing the Pump assembly...

Will reassemblying the pump and module help? Or bleeding the brakes again?

Sorry to bring up an old post.

But I just found out that poor soldering in the abs electric module could be the culprit.

Does anyone if it's possible to remove that module without removing the whole pump? I know I have to remove the battery bay, but anymore guidance?

Thanks!
